Youth sports ban won’t harm Russian betting shops

Youth sports ban won’t harm Russian betting shops

Previous week, members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, have supported the amendments to the country’s active legislation by a majority of votes. The changes focus on the law, prohibiting betting shops from accepting bets related to sports competitions for children and young people.

Government officials should prepare the amendments until October 12, 2017. You can find the details of the bill №157600-7 following the link.

Interestingly enough that Russian large betting shops have taken this restriction pretty well. Some of them have never worked with sports for children and young people, while others have been engaged in this sector just a bit.

Darina Denisova, President of the Self-regulatory Organization of Bookmakers, stressed that Russian bookmakers would not suffer from the new legislation. According to her, none of the organization members has never placed a priority on this area.
