Betting advertising is restricted to specialized sports media in Russia

As announced by the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS), bookmakers can publish advertising materials only in mass media that focus on physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation. Advertisements in other printed or online media are illegal. These clarifications relate to the recently introduced legislation.

Other opportunities for betting advertising include sponsor branding of stadiums that host sports events and sports uniform. Sports TV channels also allocate special time for betting advertising.
