St. Petersburg’s teenagers are to be banned from visiting betting shops

St. Petersburg’s authorities have adopted the law forbidding unaccompanied minors to walk along the cemetery at night, get on top of roofs and go to cellars. In addition, the leader of the party “United Russia” Alexander Teterdinko offers to include betting shops, strip clubs, vape cafes and hookah lounges to the list of places forbidden to minors.

According to officials, the adopted draft law and its amendments will help to protect teenagers from places where their lives and health conditions are at risk. The restrictions will lower the amount of injuries, children missing, decrease the number of administrative offences and teenagers consuming alcohol, tobacco and drugs. Such measures will allow them to eliminate a probability of harming spiritual and moral development of youth.

Let us remind you that in Russia only those over 18 can bet online and offline.
