Olympic Games, the world sporting event, are mostly held due to lotteries support. As far back as in ancient times in Greece, it was the audience rather than sportsmen that obtained the largest winnings by making successful bets.

In Great Britain, National lottery revenues covered the third part of 2012 Olympics investments. Besides that, the national operator became the sponsor of over two hundreds of British sportsmen participated in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
