The British bookmaker William Hill imposed restrictions on the maximum sports bet for new customers from Russia, now it’s $0. However, Russians still can access services with games like poker and online casinos.
The company has received numerous complaints about the restrictions over the past 2 months, and published them in a recent review. However, William Hill customer support does not explain the reason of such a situation and does not fully confirm the information. The restrictions reportedly came into force in October 2017.
According to user feedback, this situation has affected not only Russia, but also other CIS countries and Europe, including Poland and the Czech Republic. Rates of up to $100 by a factor of 5.0 are possible for new users from this region for 2 – 3 days, and later maxima is $0.
Numerous scammers from Russia and the post-Soviet countries are the reason for such a decision, clients believe, it was more expensive to fight than to impose restrictions.
