Rub90 analysts summed up the results of the first quarter of 2017 and prepared a brief review of gaming activity.
As usual, football is leading in the top 5 traditional sports in terms of the sum of bets, but its rate is 3.7% lower than in previous quarter.
At the same time, bets on basketball increased by 1.7%. Other disciplines of the top five list also showed improved figures. The share of hockey and tennis increased by 1% and the share of volleyball by 0.2%.
The highest betting activity according to days of week was noticed on weekend. In the first quarter of the current year, the highest figure in terms of both the total amount and sum was on Saturdays.
The volume of the average bet decreased: $12.1 in the previous quarter and only $11.2 now. This time, basketball shows the greatest figures, while previously handball has been a leader with the average amount of bet – $14.8.
The first quarter also featured the decrease of preliminary betting sums by 1.3%. Betting shop customers bet 3.4 times more in a real-time mode.
